Hatstand Opera, “Lights, Camera, Action!”

St Mary’s Church

The songs behind famous movies from opera to silver screen classics. It includes ‘Ebben?…lontana’ from cult classic ‘Diva’ and tear-jerkers from ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’. Then, after the intermission, it’s non-stop wonderful award-winning songs that’ll send you ‘Over the Rainbow’ or even ‘Way Out West’ with supercalifragilistic delight! Play it (again) Sam!”
Also opportunity to ‘meet the cast’ afterwards over drinks and canapés.

Gaby Manoukian and Bernard Perkins “Serenade for a Summer Evening”

St Mary’s Church

Gaby and Bernard are classical solo singers who will delight us with a traditional selection of serenades, accompanied by Vincent Wade, bringing us the warmth and joy of a summer evening. Gaby is originally from this area but is now in Sussex and is looking forward to returning here. Gaby and Bernard will be accompanied by Vincent Wade on the piano.

If you enjoy the music of the 1940s you will love the sound of this professional Big Band and their vocalists. Opus one are the leaders in WWII nostalgia music with genuine Glenn Miller AEF uniforms. A very special event not to be missed.
